A Journey Fueled by Gratitude

It feels like just yesterday when we embarked on this podcast journey. Our weekly conversations have covered various topics, from the complexities of life and the intricacies of love to the multifaceted realm of leadership in the medical world.

Life is about evolution and growth and sometimes new horizons.

I want to thank each of you. Whether you’ve been with me since the first episode or if you’ve just recently discovered this podcast – your support and feedback have meant so much to me.

What does the data show?

Over these 38 episodes, we’ve traveled a journey with many transformative insights, and I want to share a little behind-the-scenes insights.

The most downloaded episode was 22: Overcoming the Habit of Taking Things Personally: Insights for Physicians and Leaders.

The second most downloaded episode is a tie. This tie is between episode 27: ADHD & Leadership with Elle O’Flaherty and episode 32: Navigating Relationship & Family Challenges from Residency to Attending Life with Dr. Nikki Parson.

Interestingly, I wanted to focus strictly on leadership when this podcast started. And as you can see, none of the top three are purely on leadership. They are about the intricacies of how our life affects our leadership and our careers. And that’s profound.

It evolved from a purely leadership podcast to wanting to have a show showing how complex our lives are and how our lives and our loves affect how we lead. I’ve been truly honored by the guests who have graced my platform. These leaders, experts, and visionaries have enriched the dialogue, bringing their passions, expertise, and unique perspectives on life, love, and leadership.

Growth and Renewal

I’m grateful for you, listeners, for every moment you’ve taken to listen, reflect, and apply what you’ve learned. You’re the reason life love and leadership for positions has been such a phenomenal journey.

We’ve talked about the importance of growth and renewal. I want to share that I’m taking a break from my weekly episodes. Don’t worry, this is not a goodbye. I really like podcasting and the creative process and seeing everything come together.

In episode 6, Sabbaticals in Medicine with Dr. Tia Robertson, I spoke with the doctor Tia Robertson about taking sabbaticals. So this is kind of like a sabbatical. I, too, am embracing a new chapter, and I’m working on a project, and it’s something that I’m hoping promises to be every bit as transformative as our journey here.

This new venture will align with everything discussed here on the show- the values of growth, leadership, and the deep love for the profession of medicine we all share.

I’ll leave you with this – I ask each of you to consider your own journey. Are there personal and professional areas where a momentary pause can open the doors to new possibilities? If so, embrace those moments! They might lead to the most exciting chapters of your life.

Let’s take our time today not as an end but as a comma. As a brief interlude, as the curtain falls on today’s episode, filled with a whirlwind of emotions, of gratitude, excitement, and hopefulness. Listen and learn more about embracing new ventures, gratitude, and pausing in episode 38 of the Life, Love, and Leadership for Physicians podcast.
